Serra de Tramuntana.

The Serra de Tramuntana is the long mountain ridge running down Mallorca's north-west coast — a UNESCO landscape of stone-walled olive terraces, citrus orchards, and villages that look like they were built into the rock. Sóller sits in a fertile bowl between the mountains and the sea; Valldemossa, Deià and Fornalutx cling to ridges above. The pace is decidedly Mallorquin: a long lunch under a fig tree, an afternoon swim at Cala Tuent, an early dinner in a stone-walled finca. The opposite of the island's coastal resorts.
