“Vesuvio View is an absolute gem of a bed and breakfast. You will not find better views from the bedroom balcony and the breakfast terrace looking out over the bay and Vesuvio. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable with immaculate bedding. Plenty of towels, a fridge and a kettle to make that necessary cup of tea. We were worried that the location might have been noisy but this was not the case. Our host Kevin was so charming and very helpful providing us with excellent breakfasts including fresh pastries, scrambled eggs and yummy cakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea and coffee. He even made a special trip to the supermarket to source organic green tea for me. We were so glad that we chose to stay in Seiano rather than Sorrento, which on visiting we found to be heaving with tourists and tourist shops. Vesuvio View is a ten minute walk down to the station where you can pick up the local train service between Naples and Sorrento. You can easily take the train to Pompei. There is no booking office at the station, just tap your credit card at the machine and remember to tap again on your return. Cost is an unbelievable 2.40 euros for unlimited travel. British railways take note! For those travellers who are fit, there is an ancient and steep pathway down to the local beach, where you can access a public beach, good restaurants and a booking kiosk for a ferry to Capri, which leaves from Seiano beach. If you find the path to the beach too steep, take the train to Vico Equense ( one stop only) and take the bus to Seiano beach (the bus station is adjacent to the train station). There are some excellent restaurants within walking distance from Vesuvio View.”

Vesuvio View is a strong candidate for a calmcation, offering a peaceful village setting, excellent service, and private outdoor spaces with views. While it ticks many boxes, it doesn't quite reach Tier A as it's a B&B rather than a converted historic property, and the water access requires a steep walk rather than being directly adjacent.

“Our hosts picked us up at the train station. So nice of them!! Great location. Spectacular breakfasts served. Very comfy beds.”
“Everything was perfect: the room was clean and we had the most beautiful view. The location is perfect: ~10 min walk to the train station and same distance to the beach. The breakfast was very good and aesthetic. We had a possibility to reserve garage and leave our rent car there. The mobility on the place is very good, so we didn’t used the car to get to Sorrento, Positano, Pompei… the train or fairy can bring you wherever you want in Campania. Special thanks to Kevin for being very friendly and helpful!”
“On the recommendation of our daughter, who had stayed here the previous year, we decided on a week in Seiano at Vesuvio View. The owner, Kevin was very understanding of our later than planned arrival due to a missed connection on our flight out. Our room was immaculate, clean and beautifully presented. The bed was extra large and very comfortable. Lots of storage space. The bathroom/shower room was well appointed with all the necessary toiletries. There was a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. A small balcony overlooking the road and the local square. Great for a drink and seeing the local activities and people watching. Breakfast was excellent, including different cold choices each day, savoury and sweet pies, scrambled egg, local cheese and bread, cereal, freshly squeezed orange juice, and coffee. All served on the upstairs patio with wonderful views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. There are several local restaurants in easy walking distance, our favourite was Ma Che Bontà. The small bar in the square was perfect for post day out and pre dinner drinks. La Cascina Di Seiano, the food shop just below the apartment sold a wonderful selection of fresh food, beers, wines and coffee. Well everything really!! If you are going out for the day, get your fresh, huge sandwiches here. The location is perfect for visiting local sites using the train station, a 10min walk downhill. Easy access to Sorrento and Pompeii etc. but no cash, you need to buy pre-paid tickets or as we did just use a different credit card per person to check in at the station and check out at the destination. If you are lucky, you might even get a seat😊 Kevin was wonderful - super friendly and helpful with all our queries. He was particularly helpful when our taxi driver let us down on check out. We would have missed our train connection to Rome without his assistance. Many thanks Kevin and Ciro. We had a fantastic stay and hope to see you again.”
