“I spent 3 days at Vento Val d'Orcia in late February. The relaxed ambience of the beautiful location, the dwelling itself, the exceedingly comfortable, tastefully decorated room with an eclectic and esthetic mix of pleasing colors, textures, and furniture, and lastly the genuinely kind, gracious, and welcoming temperament of Ana with her guests is, in my experience, unmatched. Breakfast was a delicious organic, healthy, handcrafted visual and gustatory delight. Fruit, homemade yogurt, at least two different pastries (and the pastries varied day to day), fresh organic apple juice with no sugar added, delicious scrambled eggs made with olive oil and oat milk. I was lucky enough to have dinner one night. It was a “simple” multidimensional dinner that again reflected the same creativity and eye to health and sensory appeal. All of the homemade food was simply delicious and uniquely special. It was a quietly masterful display of Ana's creative mind at work. It was topped off by after dinner proprietary homemade arancello. Ana offers up the opportunity to experience something that is nourishing, comforting, delightful, fun, empathically attuned, and restorative. I think she is an artist in residence who creates small pleasing scenes from a few brush strokes to more sophisticated pieces of work that reflect a sophisticated understanding of tasteful complexity while also only combining just the essential ingredients without unnecessary additives or fillers to inflate, distract, or devalue. What is provided is elegantly and eloquently natural, unassuming, just like the natural Tuscan countryside, as well the owners. It is an impressive accomplishment, and a privilege to have experienced. The attitude is conveyed in the place, the decor, the food, and the genuine warmth and interpersonal ease freely offered by Ana. It is clear Ana loves doing what she does, and she does it gracefully and freely without reserve, as the creation and how it lands are more important.”
