“I had to come back to this little Alentejo oasis, and I’m so glad I did. The bungalows are perfectly placed. You feel completely alone, yet safe and looked after. No noise, no interruptions, just privacy and that incredible view. I came back for the sunsets and they still take my breath away. The houses have everything you might need. If you enjoy good food like I do, you can easily bring ingredients and cook some great meals without ever needing to leave. I’m still sad I didn’t take photos of the breakfast. You choose exactly what you want on a sheet the day before and it arrives right at the time you request. Not having to interact with anyone before coffee, while enjoying breakfast overlooking the reservoir, feels like pure luxury. This time we used the common playroom more and had fun playing pool, and I even got to feed some of the house animals, which made the stay feel even more special. A big shoutout to the staff for being extra attentive, and to the hosts for all the great recommendations. Have I said enough? This place offers amazing value for what it provides. And Almodôvar itself is a lovely town. Even as a vegetarian, I never had trouble finding good places to eat.”
